WORLD PASTRY CUP – MALAYSIA SELECTION


Club Coupe du Monde Team Malaysia has competed in Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie (world pastry cup) since 2007, crowned as champions in 2019 and 3rd place in the latest 2025 edition. The mission of Club Coupe du Monde Team Malaysia is to explore and elevate the craft of pastry preparation through study and experimentation so it may transferable to the industry in order to uplift the pastry and bakery industry as whole. Alongside identifying the top pastry chefs in the nation to compete at the biennial Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie(World Pastry Cup), the club also seeks out and acknowledges the finest culinary educators, researchers, and food service experts in Malaysia. Club Coupe du Monde Team Malaysia’s aim is to motivate and stimulate pastry professionals of all levels to participate in pioneering advances in food preparation, taste pairings, and presentation techniques.
The Pastry World Cup is a major international event that brings together the finest pastry talents from around the globe. During the competition, three pastry chefs – an ice specialist, a sugar expert, and a chocolatier – join forces to tackle technical challenges in their respective fields.
More than just a contest, the Pastry World Cup is a true revolution in the art of pastry-making, elevating the discipline to unprecedented heights. It gathers teams from all over the world, offering them a unique platform to showcase their talent, expertise, and cultural heritage.
Today, global pastry-making stands at a crossroads. More responsible and committed than ever, it is increasingly aware of the environmental and social challenges of our time. The competition is evolving accordingly, integrating more sustainable practices and reducing its ecological footprint. It highlights a pastry-making approach that respects nature, its resources, and local specificities, while celebrating creative indulgence imbued with emotions and stories that resonate across cultures.
The Coupe du monde de la Patisserie – Malaysia Selection is the official Sanctioned selection competition to select the Team Malaysia 2027, in which the Pastry World Cup Clubs organize selections in each of the 50 nations participating in the competition, in order to determine which talents will represent their countries in the next continental selections. 20 teams will then go to the Grand Final, which takes place at Sirha Lyon (France).for Malaysia, the team selected at this 2025 national selection will then go compete at the Asian Pastry Cup in FHA Singapore 2026, and later on to finals in Lyon 2027.

It gives me the pleasure to present to you the World Pastry Cup- Team Malaysia National Selection. Previously hosted under Malaysia Pastry Cup, this 2025 Edition we would like to enhance its visibility in supporting the ideology and philosophy of the World Pastry Cup.
Our Malaysia Pastry Team has indeed among the best in the World, having won Champion in the 2019 edition and the latest, 2nd runner up at the 2025 Edition. I sincerely wish more parties could join us and support our event.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank FHM as our Co-organiser, Debic as our platinum Sponsor in realising this uniquely event, We hope this event will inspire our Pastry Arts higher to another level, and may we form another World Class Pastry Team set to compete at the Asia Selection and hopefully to another podium finishing at the 2027 Finals in Lyon.
